My Senior Year: Discovering a Web Novel

#Baekmang8thAnniversary

As for webtoons, I’ve been reading *Baekmangdeoe* since last July.

I found out a bit late that Part 5 had been released, and while I was reading it—thinking that Kim Kale and Park Boktus were so cute and that Albert was going to go crazy—I was marveling at His Highness’s face, which seemed to radiate Ro-woon’s sparkling light. I was so curious about what happened next that I remembered the rental pass I’d shared on Kakao Cafe, so I thought, “Maybe I’ll give it a try.”—and that’s how it all began.

I used to struggle so much with reading that I’d always bomb my Korean mock exams and my school grades were a total mess!! In just one day, I bought 50 collected volumes and read them all. I started at the end of May, and now—in mid-July—I’ve read all the way up to Part 2, Chapter 609, and am currently waiting for the next updates... I never realized waiting for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays could be this hard... I have so much respect for those who read ahead... Respect

"One day, 'Mangdeoga' took root inside me" —and it’s been 52 days since I started fangirling. My first piece of merchandise is Volume 7 of the Taiwanese edition, featuring our Rosalyn unnie on the cover. Back then, I’d just posted on my Instagram Story saying, “Even now, there’s been no news of a Korean print edition for this series in four years—it probably won’t come out until next year, lol,” but exactly one week later, a post, and I slapped my forehead so hard my head almost fell off... (Does that even make sense???)

I’m still a high school senior and a minor, so I don’t have any money yet and haven’t been able to take any photos, but since it’s scheduled to ship in November, I’m saving up hard, thinking of it as a little gift to myself after I take the college entrance exam :)

To wrap things up, I’ve been chasing my dream since I was in fourth grade—and even though I’m just six months away from adulthood, I’m still dreaming. But you, Kim Kale Park Bok-rok, can’t even dream of being unemployed—you just go out and create your own work—yet food is your life and your foundation!! Being unemployed might still be a bit tough for you going forward, but I’m sure you’ll be living a more comfortable life in five years, right?? Haha

Even if it’s a little late, I’ll be right here cheering you on as I watch you become a jobless person. Good luck!!

Volume 2, come to me!!!!!!!
