Finally

The volume is out… It’s been about four years since we launched the crowdfunding campaign for Volume 1, Act 1. I can still vividly remember buying it in the classroom right when it was released.

I’m not funding this—I pre-ordered it—and I really like the set’s composition and price point. I especially love the consistent design and how it seems to be a natural extension of previous merchandise; the sense of a complete set really appeals to me. While the other three major series are churning out volumes one after another all the way to the conclusion, *Our Ruined World*—which could be seen as the pioneer of web novel print editions—stopped at just five volumes, and I can’t even begin to describe how heartbroken that made me… It was such a shame. I even sent emails to Cheong-eoram and all that, but now it’s finally happened… Thank you so much for producing such a beautiful volume. I’d love to see all the volumes released until the series concludes, but for now, I’m desperately hoping that at least Part 1 will be fully collected in print.

At first, I wondered what the point of a “community” was since we already have Twitter, but now that we’re all gathered in one place, it’s really convenient and nice for managing spoilers and moderating the tone of our comments. I hope this cozy, polite atmosphere—like a little village for us “failures”—continues… Ah, I’m really happy. Is this heaven? Or the realm of the gods? If so, I guess I’ll have to beat the hell out of the god of death….
