Maybe it’s because this was the first work I ever read on my own—and the first genre for which I bought merchandise—but I’ve grown particularly attached to it. Since this work was undoubtedly the catalyst that drew a large number of female readers to web novels at the time, unique fan cultures—like subway ads and 2D fan art—became mainstream. Because I could easily see Guild Master Se-sung’s face on every special occasion, it brings back even more fond memories.

Even during the busiest times of my life, you’d periodically check in with illustrations of butts or full-frontal nudity, so I’ve been quietly enjoying it—like watching the neighbor’s son grow up. Now that things have settled down a bit, I’ve picked up the book again and am reading straight through. Since this work is like a first love that I’d already adored so much, I never imagined I’d come to love it this much all over again—and since I already know the story’s flow, I’m actually even more immersed and enjoy it even more than before.

I was starting to feel a bit regretful—wondering if I’d rediscovered my love for this a little too late—and was even on the verge of regretting my timing for the first time in my life, when I came across news of these various events and pop-ups. Just hearing the news always gives me strength and brings me joy. To the author, should you happen to read this, I wish you all the best, and thank you so much. I imagine your work was a source of strength for many people—not just me—during those bleak times when the pandemic was at its peak. So, since I’m good at waiting, please come back anytime—and when you do, bring along 2 side stories and a hundred or a thousand “what-if” scenarios, haha. I’ve held out for 7 years and ended up like this—why couldn’t I wait another 5 or 10 years? I’ll lay out the red carpet for you, so just walk right over.
