8 Years: The Journey of Cheon Hwa!

Hello, Author Yuryeohan!

We hope the author is staying healthy and happy.

This is my first time participating in an event related to *I Became the Count’s Prodigal Son*. Come to think of it, I’ve actually been reading this series for eight years now.

It’s been a really long journey.

I can still vividly remember the day I first read the prologue and Chapter 1, as if it were yesterday. It was the day I finished my final exam (a math exam, by the way!) and was heading home from school. I opened KakaoPage because I wanted to read a novel during the break, and the very first thing I found was *I Became the Count’s Prodigal Son*.

I started reading it like that, and what’s funny—even now—is that I didn’t even realize the title of the work until around Chapter 55. Hahaha.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the author.

To me, *I Became the Count’s Prodigal Son* was not just a novel—it was my most cherished companion, walking alongside me every step of the way. This work has always been with me through the choices I’ve made and the times I’ve lived through.

I think both those of you who were in high school and those of you currently in college will probably remember the time you spent with this work.

Even during the time when I was very sick and had to spend several months in the hospital, this work was always by my side.

Even now, eight years later, I haven’t grown tired of it once, and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it, even decades from now.

So, I was really happy to read this written interview, the author’s responses, and the comment, “The novel shows no signs of ending.” Haha.

Maybe it’s because I kept praying, “I hope this never ends.” I really hope this story never ends. Hahaha.

And I’m an international reader.

I wrote this letter with all my heart, using the Korean I’ve learned bit by bit and with the help of a translation tool. I’d really appreciate it if you could be understanding if there are any awkward phrases or major mistakes. TT

Oh, and my mom is reading Part 2 right now, too.

My mother asked me to be sure to tell the author, “Please keep up the good work and keep serializing!”

Many of my friends have read this work and really love it.

One friend asked me to pass along the message, “Author, please don’t be too hard on Kale,” and,

Another friend said, “No way! Please tease me some more!!” Hahaha.

It was really interesting to see how everyone’s opinions differed.

Above all, there’s something I really want to tell you.

Please take good care of your health, and be sure to eat delicious meals on time.

In fact, I naturally picked up the habit of cherishing meals while reading the author’s work.

Thank you very much.

We hope the author continues to enjoy nothing but happy and healthy days ahead.

And I hope we can continue to enjoy Kale’s company for a long, long time to come!

Thank you.
